Open Case Studies

The GDSCN is working with the Open Case Studies Project to create new case studies for teaching students about genomic data science and other biomedical topics! These case studies will provide students with experiences working with real data, to learn about how to ask and address research questions, as well as clearly share and communicate their results.

The Open Case Studies developed will outline the motivation and objectives of the study; describe the sources and limitations of the datasets used; and teach students how to import, wrangle, analyze, and visualize data.

Currently, we are in the process of identifying case studies to develop as open resources to share among the GDSCN and the broader community of genomic and biomedical data science educators. Please reach out if you have suggestions!
